Glasting Water Tint
rom&nd's glossy water tint: a light, water-based gloss-tint hybrid with silicone shine and squalane, sold in a 4g tube in sheer, juicy shades.
Buyer verdictA good pick if you want a glassy, wet-look lip with some colour stain and no stickiness. It wears off faster than a matte tint. In Seoul it costs about half of what Amazon charges, so it's an easy add-on or gift.

What it is
rom&nd is one of the most popular Korean makeup brands, best known for its lip tints. Glasting Water Tint is the glossy one: a sheer, water-based tint that gives a “glass” finish. It comes in a 4g tube with a doe-foot applicator, in a range of juicy coral, red, pink and rosy shades.
The Korean ingredient list explains the feel. Water comes first, followed by diphenyl dimethicone, a silicone that gives high shine without stickiness. Next come emollients (diisostearyl malate, octyldodecanol, hydrogenated polyisobutene), a little glycerin and squalane, and then the colours, which vary by shade.
It contains fragrance, plus the fragrance allergens linalool, amyl cinnamal and hexyl cinnamal.
Who it suits (and who should skip it)
Good pick if
- You want a glossy, juicy lip without a sticky gloss feel
- You like sheer colour you can build up in layers
- You want a cheap, pretty gift from your Seoul trip
Skip it if
- You want colour that lasts through meals; a matte tint holds better
- Fragrance in lip products bothers you
- You have very dry, flaky lips and want a balm first
What the ingredients do
A water-based tint spreads thin and lets the dyes stain the lips lightly. The silicone on top gives the glassy shine, and the emollients stop the formula from feeling tight or dry as the water evaporates.
Squalane and glycerin help with comfort, but this is makeup, not lip care. If your lips are dry, use a lip balm first, blot, and then apply the tint.
How to use it
rom&nd suggests filling the lips in from the inner part outwards for a natural look. For a gradient “Korean lip”, apply it to the centre of the lips and blend outwards with your finger. For more colour, add a second layer.
Reapply after eating. Remove it at night with a cleansing oil or a lip and eye remover.
How it compares
rom&nd Juicy Lasting Tint is the brand’s longer-wearing glossy tint, with more stain. Peripera Ink Mood Glowy Tint is a similar glowy tint at a similar price. Amuse Dew Tint has a dewy finish with a bit more cushion.

Is it worth buying in Seoul?
Yes. Olive Young sells the same 4g tube that Amazon US and UK list, and Seoul’s price is roughly half of Amazon’s. Prices are even lower during Olive Young sales.
One tube is well below the ₩15,000 tax refund minimum, so buy it with other items, or pick up two or three shades as gifts. The tube is tiny, so it fits easily in a carry-on.
FAQ
Is it a gloss or a tint?
Both. It goes on glossy like a lip gloss, and as the shine wears off it leaves a light colour stain, like a tint.
Does it contain fragrance?
Yes. Fragrance is on the Korean ingredient list, along with the fragrance allergens linalool and amyl cinnamal. Skip it if fragrance makes your lips tingle.
How long does it last?
The shine fades after a drink or a meal, as with any gloss. The stain lasts longer. For all-day colour, a matte or velvet tint holds better.
Which shade should I buy?
Look at the swatches in the store; the tester is the most reliable guide. Our lip tint guide explains how to choose a finish and shade before the sales.
