Peripera is one of Korea’s most popular budget makeup brands, known for its Ink tints. Ink Mood Glowy Tint is the glossy member of the family: a water-based tint that gives a juicy, glassy shine and leaves a light stain. It comes in a 4g tube, and Olive Young lists more than 30 shades.
The Korean ingredient list starts with water, then emollients (diisostearyl malate, hydrogenated polyisobutene) and several silicones, including caprylyl trimethicone, that create the shine. Further down are glycerin, squalane and the colourants, which vary by shade. It contains fragrance.

What the ingredients do
A water-based tint spreads thin, so the colour stains the lips lightly. The silicones give the glossy finish without the stickiness of a classic gloss, and the emollients keep it comfortable as the water evaporates. Glycerin and squalane help a little with comfort, but it’s makeup, not lip care.
How to use it
Peripera’s direction is to fill the lips in from the inner part outwards for a natural look. For a gradient lip, apply to the centre and blend outwards with a fingertip. For stronger colour, add a second layer.
If your lips are dry, use a balm first and blot before applying.
How it compares
rom&nd Glasting Water Tint and Amuse Dew Tint are the closest rivals, both glossy water tints. Dasique Juicy Dewy Tint has a similar finish in softer, muted shades. Peripera and rom&nd are the cheapest of the group, and Peripera has the most shades.

Is it worth buying in Seoul?
Yes, for price and choice. We haven’t matched a like-for-like 4g listing on Amazon yet, so there’s no direct comparison, but Olive Young’s price is low, especially on promotion, and the shade range in store is far bigger than most online shops carry.
One tube is well below the ₩15,000 tax refund minimum, so buy it with other items. The tube is tiny, so it fits easily in hand luggage.

A lot. Olive Young lists more than 30 colours on one page, and the line-up changes with seasonal releases. Try the testers in store; the colour in the tube can look darker than on the lips.

Is it different from Peripera Ink Velvet?
Yes. Ink Velvet is a soft-matte tint with stronger staying power. Ink Mood Glowy is the glossy, juicy one.
