AMUSE

Dew Tint

Amuse's glossy water tint: a light, water-based tint with silicone shine and a little squalane that gives a dewy, juicy finish and a light stain, in a 4g tube across many shades.

Buyer verdictA pretty, wearable dewy tint for a fresh, juicy lip, similar in feel to rom&nd's Glasting tint. Like any glossy tint, the shine fades after meals, and it contains fragrance. We haven't confirmed a like-for-like Amazon listing, so there's no price comparison yet.

Our price verdict

What it is

Amuse is a Korean makeup brand known for soft, fresh looks and vegan positioning. Its Dew Tint is a glossy water tint in a 4g tube. It gives a “jelly” lip: shiny, sheer colour that leaves a light stain as the shine wears off. Olive Young sells it in more than ten shades.

The Korean ingredient list is a classic water tint. Water comes first, followed by diphenyl dimethicone, a silicone that gives high shine without stickiness. Next are emollients (diisostearyl malate, hydrogenated polyisobutene, octyldodecanol), humectants (diglycerin and dipropylene glycol) and a little squalane. The colours vary by shade. It also contains fragrance and tiny amounts of mango and apple extracts.

Who it suits (and who should skip it)

Good pick if

  • You want a fresh, dewy lip that looks natural
  • You like sheer, buildable colour and an easy, everyday tint
  • You’re looking for a small, cute gift from Seoul

Skip it if

  • You want colour that survives meals; a velvet tint holds better
  • Fragrance in lip products bothers you
  • Your lips are very dry and you’d rather use a tinted balm

What the ingredients do

A water-based tint spreads thin and lets the dyes stain the lips gently. The silicone gives the glassy shine, and the emollients stop the formula from feeling tight as the water evaporates. Diglycerin and squalane help with comfort.

As with most tints, it’s makeup rather than lip care. If your lips are dry, use a balm first, blot, then apply.

How to use it

Amuse’s direction is to apply a suitable amount for a watery, glossy lip. For a sheer wash, apply one thin layer across the lips. For more colour, add a second layer to the centre and press the lips together.

Reapply after meals. Remove it at night with a cleansing oil or lip and eye remover, especially if the stain lingers.

How it compares

rom&nd Glasting Water Tint is the closest rival, a water-based glossy tint at a similar price. Dasique Juicy Dewy Tint has a similar dewy finish in a softer, muted palette. Peripera Ink Mood Glowy Tint is the budget-friendly glowy option.

Our Korean lip tint guide compares finishes and explains when the sales happen.

Is it worth buying in Seoul?

Probably, but we can’t show a fair comparison yet. The Amazon listings we saved don’t match Olive Young’s 4g tube, so the price box leaves them out. Olive Young’s price, especially during sales, is in line with other Korean tints. On sale, one tube clears the ₩15,000 tax refund minimum by itself.

The tube is tiny and fits easily in hand luggage.

FAQ

Is it vegan?

Amuse markets itself as a vegan beauty brand. Check the current packaging if this matters to you, as certifications can change between versions.

Does it contain fragrance?

Yes. Fragrance is on the Korean ingredient list for the shades we checked.

How long does it last?

The glossy layer wears off after eating or drinking. A light stain usually stays. Reapply for shine.

How is it different from rom&nd Glasting?

They're very similar water-based glossy tints, so choose by the shades you like best in the store.
