Anua Peach 77% Niacin Essence Toner

Product photo: anua.us (official brand store). The pack size shown may differ from the Korean 250ml.

Anua

Peach 77% Niacin Essence Toner

A bouncy essence-toner that is 77% peach water, with niacinamide, a stack of ferments and a little alpha-arbutin, made for a dewy, brighter look.

Buyer verdictA pleasant glow toner for normal, dry and combination skin, and a good match if you like a toner you can layer. It's fragranced, unlike Anua's famous heartleaf toner, so sensitive skin should test it first. Seoul is clearly cheaper than Amazon on the same 250ml bottle.

What it is

Peach 77 Niacin Essence Toner is the glow-focused sister of Anua’s best-selling heartleaf toner. It comes in a 250ml bottle, and the liquid is noticeably thicker than a normal toner. It sits somewhere between a toner and an essence.

The Korean ingredient list starts with peach water at 77%, which gives the product its name. That’s followed by humectants and niacinamide, then a long run of ferments: lactobacillus, streptococcus thermophilus, bifida, bacillus and galactomyces. Further down are small amounts of alpha-arbutin, two forms of vitamin C, squalane, ceramide NP, adenosine and a full set of amino acids. Fragrance is listed last.

Korea registers it as a functional cosmetic for brightening and wrinkle care, which comes from the niacinamide and adenosine.

Who it suits (and who should skip it)

Good pick if

  • Your skin looks dull or tired and you want a dewier finish
  • You have normal, dry or combination skin and like a toner with some body
  • You enjoy layering a toner several times instead of using a separate essence

Skip it if

  • Your skin is sensitive to fragrance; pick Anua’s Heartleaf 77 instead
  • You’re very oily and prefer a watery, fast-drying toner
  • You want a strong dark-spot treatment; this is a gentle all-rounder

What the ingredients do

Peach water is mostly a pleasant, hydrating base. The peach extract itself is listed at only 250 ppm, so the fruit is more about feel and branding than active effect.

Niacinamide is the most proven ingredient here. It helps even out tone, calm redness and support the skin barrier. It’s also what makes this a “niacin” toner.

The ferments are popular in Korean skincare for smoother, brighter-looking skin, and they’re well tolerated. Alpha-arbutin and the vitamin C forms add a small extra push on tone. Squalane, ceramide NP and panthenol stop the toner from feeling stripping, and the long list of amino acids acts as gentle humectants.

How to use it

Anua gives two options. After cleansing, pour a little into your palm and pat it in; on dry days you can repeat two or three times instead of using a separate essence. Or soak a cotton pad and leave it on dry areas for a few minutes as a hydrating mask.

Follow with serum and moisturiser, and sunscreen in the morning. There are no exfoliating acids to speak of, so it’s fine to use morning and night.

How it compares

Anua Heartleaf 77% Soothing Toner is the safer choice for reactive skin: watery, calming and fragrance-free. Numbuzin No.3 Super Glowing Essence Toner is the closest rival for glow, with more barrier lipids and no fragrance. I’m From Rice Toner is milkier and more nourishing for dry skin.

Is it worth buying in Seoul?

Yes. Olive Young sells the same 250ml bottle as Amazon US and UK. At the usual Olive Young sale price, Seoul works out roughly a third cheaper than Amazon US, and more against Amazon UK.

One bottle clears the ₩15,000 tax refund minimum on its own. At 250ml, it has to go in checked luggage.

FAQ

Does it contain fragrance?

Yes. Fragrance is the last ingredient on the Korean label. That's the main difference from the Heartleaf 77% toner, which is fragrance-free.

Is it the same as the heartleaf toner but with peach?

No. Heartleaf 77 is a watery calming toner. Peach 77 is thicker and aimed at glow and tone, with niacinamide, ferments and arbutin.

Can I use it as a mask?

Yes. Anua suggests soaking cotton pads and leaving them on dry areas for a few minutes as a quick hydrating mask.

Is it OK for oily skin?

Usually, if you use one layer. Very oily skin may find several layers too much and prefer a watery toner.
