Cushion Glass
fwee's dewy cushion: a light, glowy liquid foundation made with thermal spring water instead of plain water, with niacinamide, UV filters (octinoxate, ethylhexyl salicylate and titanium dioxide) and a long list of plant extracts.
Buyer verdictA pretty pick for a fresh, glassy, skin-like finish on normal to dry skin. Coverage is light to medium, and the glow can look greasy on very oily skin. We haven't matched an Amazon listing, so there's no price comparison yet.

What it is
fwee is a younger Korean makeup brand, also known for its Blurry Pudding Pot. Cushion Glass is its dewy cushion: a light liquid foundation in a 13g compact that gives a fresh, “glass skin” glow. Olive Young sells the original version in several shades.
The Korean ingredient list starts with thermal spring water instead of plain water, then titanium dioxide, cyclopentasiloxane and two chemical UV filters: ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate (octinoxate) and ethylhexyl salicylate. Next come silicones, isododecane, glycerin and niacinamide. Further down are birch sap, xylitol, and many plant extracts, including lavender, oregano, thyme, rosemary, borage and chamomile, plus hyaluronic acid, adenosine, ceramide NP and, near the end, fragrance.
Korea registers it as a functional cosmetic.
Who it suits (and who should skip it)
Good pick if
- You want a dewy, glowing, skin-like finish
- Your skin is normal or dry and looks dull with matte foundations
- You prefer light coverage and a quick, fresh look
Skip it if
- Your skin is very oily and shine is your main concern
- You need full coverage for spots or pigmentation
- Your skin reacts to fragrance or aromatic plant extracts
What the ingredients do
Titanium dioxide gives coverage and some UV protection, and the two chemical filters add more. The silicones and isododecane make it spread thin and settle into a smooth, glowing layer.
Niacinamide and glycerin are skincare extras. They help the cushion feel comfortable, but in makeup they’re supporting players. The plant extracts add to the brand story and are in small amounts.
How to use it
fwee’s direction is to apply a thin layer over the face, then tap gently to blend. Start from the centre of the face and tap outwards, then add a second thin layer only where you need more coverage.
Use moisturiser and sunscreen first. If you’re combination, press a little powder onto the T-zone and keep the glow on the cheeks.
How it compares
hince Second Skin Glow Cushion is another glowy cushion with a natural, skin-like finish. Laneige Neo Cushion Matte is the soft-matte alternative for oilier skin.
See our Korean cushion guide for how to compare refills and finishes.
Is it worth buying in Seoul?
Probably, mainly for choice and promotions. We haven’t matched a like-for-like listing on Amazon yet, so there’s no direct comparison. Olive Young’s price is often well below its regular price during promotions, and you can test shades in store. On sale, one cushion clears the ₩15,000 tax refund minimum by itself.
The compact travels easily in hand luggage.
FAQ
Does it have SPF?
It contains UV filters and is registered as a functional cosmetic in Korea. Check the SPF printed on the box for the shade you buy, and still wear a separate sunscreen underneath.
Is it good for oily skin?
It's a glow cushion, so oily skin may look shiny by midday. Set the T-zone lightly with powder, or pick a matte cushion instead.
How much coverage does it give?
Light to medium. It evens out tone and redness while letting skin show through. Use a concealer for spots.
Does it contain fragrance?
Yes. Fragrance is near the end of the Korean ingredient list, and there are also lavender, oregano, thyme and rosemary extracts. Sensitive skin should patch-test.
